Inspired by the play of the warp and weft of a fabric, the Ami Ami chair - whose name in Japanese literally means"weave"- was born from the desire of the designer Tokujin Yoshioka to reproduce one of the stylistic signs typical of his culture, the interlacing . The simple and squared lines contrast with the richness of the weaving, evident on the internal and external surface and made through a complex industrial process that recreates the motif through the use of a single mold. Ami Ami combines the reference to oriental culture with the use of innovative materials such as polycarbonate and is offered in two transparent versions, crystal and smoked, and in three opaque versions, white, red and black.
